Responsibilities

Proofreading By A UK PhD is an academic consulting firm based in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, dedicated to supporting postgraduate researchers worldwide. We provide professional guidance in research, thesis development, academic writing, and scholarly publication.

We are seeking an experienced Academic Consultant (Public Health) to provide one-on-one research mentorship, thesis consultation, manuscript refinement, and publication guidance.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver expert academic consultation and research supervision to Master's and PhD students.
  • Critically review, edit, and refine all five chapters of postgraduate dissertations and theses.
  • Guide clients in research proposal development, study design, data analysis, interpretation, and manuscript preparation.
  • Provide consultation and guidance throughout the publication process for Scopus- and Web of Science (WoS)-indexed journals.
  • Maintain rigorous standards in academic writing, citation systems (APA, Vancouver, Harvard), research methodology, and target journal requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Master's or PhD degree in Public Health or a closely related health science discipline.
  • Publication Record: Must be the first author of at least one article published in a Scopus- or Web of Science (WoS)-indexed journal.
  • Writing & Publishing: Excellent command of formal academic English and strong knowledge of international academic publishing and peer-review processes.
  • Research Expertise: Demonstrated ability to provide guidance on postgraduate research, thesis development, and academic writing.

Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage)

  • First-author publications in Q1 or Q2 journals.
  • Strong command of quantitative analysis tools such as IBM SPSS, SmartPLS, or AMOS.
  • Experience with qualitative research tools and approaches, including NVivo, *************, or thematic analysis/coding.
  • Working knowledge of programming or computational tools such as Python, R, or Deep Learning.
  • Ability to consult, review, or write academic theses in Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage (optional).
