Job Role Summary:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with travel companies in the markets of Russia, CIS countries, and Eastern European countries, and identifying opportunities to maximize Embassy Alliance Travel sales revenue in the markets mentioned above, and growing the number of tourists visiting Malaysia.
Required:
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Tourism and Hospitality, or related major; master’s degree is highly appreciated
- Knowledge of the travel industry, current market trends and economic factors in the Russian, CIS, Eastern European market
- In-depth understanding of travel distribution technology (including connection with OTAs, GDSs, content, etc.), rate intelligence solutions and marketing technologies
- A minimum of 7 years experience in tourism and hospitality and at least 3 years in a leadership/managerial role.
- Must-have communication in both Russian and English; and preferably a 3rd language (e.g., German, Czech, Polish)
- Strong and effective interpersonal skills, outstanding communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience in SAMO/MasterTour operating system, automated sales systems, channel manager or other travel/hotel booking platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Develop and execute a detailed business and go-to-market plan, aligned to the commercial priorities for Russian, CIS and Eastern European travel companies and aligned to Embassy Alliance Travel portfolio
- Establish, build, and maintain relationships with travel companies throughout Russia, CIS countries and Eastern Europe, positioning Embassy Alliance Travel as a preferred travel services provider and partner
- Lead Embassy Alliance Travel’s engagement with travel companies, generate interest in solutions, and drive adoption of company solution portfolio with new and existing customers (including commercial negotiation and contract closure). Manage the sales pipeline and monthly sales forecast, as well as maintain real-time activity tracking. Meet and exceed targets on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Understand the value of Embassy Alliance Travel products as well as competitive offerings and articulate Embassy Alliance Travel benefits in a manner meaningful to Malaysian hotels
- Work with internal teams including Customer Success and Product Management to identify new areas of collaboration with Russian, CIS and Eastern European travel companies, to provide feedback to support evolution of our solutions and the launch of capabilities, and to ensure customer satisfaction.
