- Job Summary**We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate State Registered Nurse to join our Maternity Ward and Special Care Nursery team. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to mothers and newborns, ensuring their well-being and a positive experience throughout their hospital stay.Job Responsibilities*** Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum mothers, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.* Monitor and support laboring mothers, interpreting fetal monitoring strips and administering medications as prescribed.* Assist with deliveries and provide immediate postpartum care to mothers and newborns.* Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in the Special Care Nursery, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing incubators, and assisting with feeding and hygiene.* Educate new mothers on infant care, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and discharge instructions.* Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.* Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.* Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.* Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively.* Participate in continuous professional development and training.Job Qualifications*** Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the relevant nursing board.* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Maternity Ward or Special Care Nursery setting.* Possession of a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is highly desirable.* Strong knowledge of obstetrics, neonatology, and maternal-child health principles.* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.* Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.* Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
