The company was formed in 1994 when Port Klang Management required a private company to back them in the supply of casual workers to undertake the loading and unloading operations of general and bagged cargoes from vessels. The founder, Mr. Saharudin Mat Saat, a local prominent Bumiputra businessman, was known for his stevedores’ strength and experiences working in other ports around Malaysia. He was also offered to take over the supply of casual workers for loading and unloading all bagged and dirty cargoes from vessels. The company started its operation with a total work force of 850 casual workers in 1994. Ever since the contract was awarded to Custovic Sdn Bhd, the turnaround of vessels carrying the bagged cargo seemed to improve and the Klang Port Management was satisfied with the performances.
