Yeah, yeah you feel like you want to shout a triumphant "Yes" right after the recruiter offers you the job, isn't it? Everyone would probably feel the same. But you need to play it cool. Don't be too excited and jumping like a kid. When an employer makes a job offer, they are waiting for your reply on the dot but that doesn't mean you have to quickly say yes. Learn some tips from the expert.

1. Express your gratitute

It' a common sense when someone is offering you something then you have to say thank you. Appreciatio is important whether you're meeting in person, talking on the phone or having the conversation through email, you must thank the person and say how excited you're are getting the offer. That's the most important thing to do. Even if  you want to negotiate the offer and whatnot, show your appreciation first. You may use words like "thrilled" or "excited" in your conversation with the person.

2. Get the offer in black and white

That person offers you a job, alright learn to say thank you and the conversation is not end here. Request to have the offer put in writing. An official job offer letter should include at last the name of the position, a start date, a salar details,  and benefits. Don't bluntly accept the offer and just say "Okay i'll come on Monday." What if the offer is not officiqal yet? Just between you and the person without the company knowing it? It could be dangerous and you have to watch out.

Hence, getting the offer letter in writing is essential. Ask how long you have to give a final answer after receiving the letter. If the employer needs immediate respond, that's a bad sign. It's uncommon to pressure people at least give it a day or two. Dont take so long to give an answer, they might reconsider you back.

3. Just say 'yes' !

You have go through the details and negotiating and ready to accept it. Read all the details and reiterate as you understand them. You can say " It is my understanding that I will be eligible for X days of vacation, Y amount of bonus payable on Z, medical coverage up to 70% and etc." It is important so that you understand all the terms and even the employer also aware of your understanding.

If the employer hesitate to nod or say yes, negotiate again until both of parties reach a conclusion. Maybe there are some ways to overcome it and offering other perks could be one of the solutions.
