If you want to get a job, you maybe want to read this article until the end and bookmark this for future reference. The importance of resume for all job seekers needs no more introductory. A resume is an essential stuff when attending any job interview and from past experiences, you might have learned the tango isn't it? Recruiters will skim through your resume and search for the keywords. If they don't find any keywords that they're looking for, then without wasting any more time they will reject you.

Your chance to get notice might be around 60% if the recruiters check it by themselves but imagine if they use a certain software to skim through hundreds of resumes? A computer is not a human and they act as a robot. They will be very strict in matching the keywords. Even if you have the keywords but you write it differently, the software couldn't read it. Scary isn't it?

Never ever use these 10 phrases in your resume

1. Results-oriented professional

This is so cliche, guys. Be specific and of course, everyone is results-oriented, right?

2. Motivated self-starter

Guys, are you serious? For sure you need to initiate the particular task or work without even have to tell you to do so.

3. Superior communication skills

So your main purpose here is to tell that you have a super power in communicating with people?

4. Savvy/ strategic business professional

If you want to step in a professional world, you're expected to know the tango and beat. It's a common courtesy to treat people with full respect.

5. Meets expectations

How can I be sure that you meet my expectation? I haven't brief you on that yet.

6. Skilled at leading cross-functional/high-performance teams

Okay, I get it you're very good.

7. Proven track record of success

How do you determine the term success?

8. Progressively more responsible positions

Hmm, it's so generic and it can mean anything.

9. Strategic visionary

Again, this is so cliche. Stop using it.

10. Dynamic industry leader

It says nothing useful to a recruiter or a hiring manager.
