Originally known as Bangkok Bank Limited, Kuala Lumpur Branch, we opened our doors for business on 23 January 1959. In 1993, we underwent a transformation to become a public company known as Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, following the requirements of the Securities & Stock Exchange Act in Thailand. Subsequently, our Kuala Lumpur Branch also adopted the name Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited.

In adherence to Bank Negara Malaysia's regulations for foreign banks to be locally incorporated, Bangkok Bank Berhad was established on 12 May 1994, taking over the entire operations of the Kuala Lumpur Branch of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, we have an authorized and paid-up share capital of RM1 billion. Our core activities revolve around providing banking and related financial services to individuals, businesses, and corporations.
