BYD's journey in Malaysia began in December 2022 through a strategic partnership between the China-based BYD Auto Industry Co Ltd and Sime Darby Motors. This collaboration marked a significant milestone in the Malaysian automotive landscape, heralding a new era of electric vehicles. The launch of the BYD Energy Awaken ATTO 3, an all-electric sports utility vehicle, was the first step towards redefining the EV experience in Malaysia.

Our ambitious mission is to make sustainable automotive solutions accessible across Malaysia. We are rapidly expanding our network of BYD showrooms, with flagship locations in Ara Damansara and Kuala Lumpur's bustling TREC, Jalan Tun Razak. These showrooms are more than just sales centers; they are hubs of innovation where cutting-edge technology and sustainability converge.

The Malaysian market's response to the BYD ATTO 3 was overwhelmingly positive, with over 1,000 orders within the first 10 days of its launch. BYD continued to build on this momentum, delivering 1,000 units within the first 100 days. In mid-2023, we further expanded our lineup with the introduction of the BYD DOLPHIN, our second all-electric vehicle for the Malaysian passenger car market.
