About Greenpeace Southeast Asia Berhad

Greenpeace Southeast Asia Berhad is part of the global Greenpeace network, an independent environmental organization founded in 1971. Established in Southeast Asia in 2000, Greenpeace Southeast Asia (GPSEA) operates offices in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand. The organization focuses on critical environmental issues such as climate change, deforestation, overfishing, plastic pollution, and promoting social justice.

GPSEA employs nearly 200 staff across the region and is committed to non-violent direct action, lobbying, and research to achieve its goals. The organization maintains its independence by not accepting funding from governments or corporations, relying solely on donations from individuals and private foundations.

Our mission is to ensure the ability of the Earth to nurture life in all its diversity. This includes protecting biodiversity, preventing pollution, and promoting peace and global disarmament.
