Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer Location: KL, Malaysia
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer with strong experience in infrastructure automation, Ansible, Linux administration, and DevOps practices. The candidate will be responsible for automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, patching, monitoring, and operational processes across enterprise environments.Key Responsibilities๏ทDesign and implement infrastructure automation using Ansible across Linux and Windows environments.๏ทDevelop and maintain reusable Ansible playbooks, roles, workflows, and automation jobs.๏ทWork with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) including workflows, RBAC, and credential management.๏ทAutomate Day-2 operations such as patching, configuration management, monitoring, backup, and remediation.๏ทImplement infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).๏ทDevelop automation for self-healing and auto-remediation to improve system reliability.๏ทMaintain infrastructure code in Git/version-controlled repositories.๏ทBuild and support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.๏ทEnsure automated processes follow security, compliance, and operational standards.๏ทCollaborate with Cloud, Security, and Operations teams on automation initiatives.๏ทTroubleshoot infrastructure issues and continuously improve automation solutions.Required Skills๏ท10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, with at least 5 years in infrastructure automation.๏ทStrong hands-on experience with Ansible and Linux administration.๏ทExperience with Ansible Automation Platform.๏ทStrong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management.๏ทExperience with VM provisioning, system hardening, patching, monitoring, and remediation.๏ทProficiency in Python, Shell, or PowerShell scripting.๏ทGood understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.๏ทKnowledge of networking, security, and system administration.๏ทExperience with AWS or Azure cloud environments.๏ทStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.Good to Have๏ทExperience with Docker/Kubernetes or container orchestration.๏ทKnowledge of GitOps.๏ทExperience with Grafana, ELK, or other observability tools.๏ทKnowledge of cloud security and compliance frameworks such as CIS.๏ทExposure to AIOps, AI-driven automation, or ChatOps.
