KOPETRO was established on October 30, 1980, with an initial allocation of RM 10,000 and a team seconded from the PETRONAS Personnel Department. The cooperative was tasked with providing financial support to its members. Today, KOPETRO stands as one of the Top 10 Cooperatives among more than 14,000 cooperatives in Malaysia.
