The Malaysian Pepper Board (MPB) is a Federal Statutory Body under the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities, established under the Malaysian Pepper Board Act 2006 on January 1, 2007.
The MPB headquarters is located in Kuching, Sarawak, and it has three Regional Offices: the Sarawak Regional Office, which has nine branch offices (Serian, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Bintangor, Sibu, Bintulu, Belaga, and Miri); the Peninsular Malaysia Regional Office (Senai); and the Sabah Regional Office (Kota Kinabalu). MPB plays a key role in the development of the pepper industry through research, increasing production, and the expansion of pepper cultivation.
