The name “Motherapp” lies in our embodiment of "The Mother of Applications" - reflecting our mission to foster viability in emerging technologies, and its constructive application to do real good in the world. Our track record demonstrates the value of increased confidence this approach bring to projects that have since seen immense success.
New technologies often come with its fair share of buzz and associated complications - that’s only natural. Yet, we understand that it may appear daunting at times to those less familiar with its terminologies and their applications. Thus, in our innovations, we emphasise largely on a lean and caring user centric approach to bridge the gap towards practicality, break down barriers, and validate hidden assumptions.
Our optimal goal is to create digital applications that drive actionable value for our users and the society at large through our intimate efforts at deconstructing the abstract and applying it with care.
We were amongst the first to occupy the mobile space back in 2008 when iOS SDK was just released - a feat at that time for the first few apps to surface. Our first app is OpenRice, which was the #1 app at launch for more than 3 months.
We were also the first to create a “community-built" app for TED Talks. When we saw the value its content bring to viewers, we believed that it could enrich the lives of thousands more people by making its content more accessible. Thus, we took it upon us to create a mobile app - long before the official TED app was launched.
In 2011, we made sure that User Experience (UX) design and agile development was at the centre of our processes and all our work. We want to be flexible and approachable so we could work alongside our clients, and help them communicate effectively with their clients through our work.
In 2015, Ocean Park came onboard and engaged our Internet of Things (IoT) technology for real time crowd management. First of its kind, it was a digital breakthrough that helped millions of visitors save much precious theme park minutes in line. This technology also enabled Ocean Park to efficiently deploy their staff to the right place at the right time - we later won many awards for this work including the Asia Mobile Awards for Best Enterprise Mobile App.
2017 saw a new milestone of artificial intelligence (AI) with Alpha Go knocking out Go champion. It was as well a milestone for our new data-driven solution framework backed by our collective expertise in IoT, mobile and AI. We believed that through our work, sectors previously untouched by technology can vastly improve its processes and operations.
Thus, we successfully launched the PowerArena platform for Smart Operations, and later, Smart Cities and Environment - in a variety of scenarios and ground-breaking industries. For this, we were awarded the World Summit Grand Champion Award organised by the United Nations, for the positive impact our technologies have made to society. A proud moment for MotherApp!
Based on AI and data analysis, we later realised that we could also make brand communications with customers more personal and meaningful - and so we did. In 2018, our dedicated customer engagement platform - Aillia, was launched.
Technology is ever evolving, and so will our ongoing quest to carefully single out, experiment, and apply such technologies meaningfully to continuously bring value to our society in the best way that we know how.
