Existing hardware & software infrastructure is also utilized (if possible) to ensure minimal change is required to migrate to Web Application.Sapphire specialises in creating a customized application or portal that is based on the user requirements. Besides web portals and applications, we also develop server /client applications. We have the expertise to develop embedded application for portable devices as well.

 

We have been developing software since the start of the Millennium. Our main expertise was to develop intranet applications for use within an organization. Using purely MS SQL server and MS Visual Basic, the first applications were robust enough to handle the requirements of an SME consisting of less than 100 staff.By 2004, the demand from our clients some with more than 500 staff made us re-do most of our applications. We started to adopt .Net and J2EE as more complex applications rose. We also started migrating some of our Client / Server applications to Web based applications.The diagram on the left shows the short history of Sapphire and its College Administration System (CAS) system developed for use in educational institutions. It all started with a simple application based on server / client requirements running as desktop application. From 2000 till 2003, the application underwent significant changes in features and bug fixes.2004, changed everything with a big releases of major proven web platform development technologies such as .Net, J2EE and RAILS. From 2004 till 2006, Sapphire transformed into web applications builder. Alpha version of CAS Web based system also begun during this time, testing the ability of Sapphire to migrate CAS to Web 2.*2007 to 2008 was a crucial time for the company as we multiple branches of different software development begun in Sapphire. Web Portals, CAS Web Version, CAS and CMS systems were all being designed and developed.In 2009, Sapphire successfully presented & proposed ideas to our clients for Web Application and Portals. Sapphire will complete CMS & LMS by first quarter 2010.
