Full Time Executive, Technology - Industry Development Jobs, Salary up to MYR 3,000 in MyPOWER Corporation Federal Territory - Maukerja

1. Overview

MyPOWER Corporation is assessing the feasibility of nuclear energy as a source of electricity generation for Malaysia. This position, reporting to the Lead of Technology & Industry Development, will be responsible for executing tasks related to nuclear energy technologies and domestic industrial involvement to support initiatives for Phases 1 and 2 of the IAEA Milestones Approach for nuclear power development.

2. Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement technology and industry development activities to support fulfilment of the relevant IAEA Infrastructure Issues for Phases 1 & 2 under.
• Develop and execute the Industrial Development Pathways (IDP) 2050 framework, which is currently being formulated by MyPOWER, as well as update and refine it based on experience and lessons learned during future execution.
• Serve as the interface between the nuclear energy industrial development scope with the other workstreams of MyPOWER’s Nuclear and Reform Units.
• Assess local industrial capabilities, including the identification of potential players, gap and readiness, capacity-building, and degree of localisation.
• Conduct research and analysis of potential industry players and their capabilities, relevant codes & standards, regulatory and infrastructure requirements, and industrial best practices to support the entire nuclear energy value chain.
• Coordinate and engage with government agencies, prospective owner/operators, regulatory bodies, industry players and associations, academic and training institutions, consultants, and other stakeholders related to technology and industry development.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining reports, technical papers, briefings, presentations, databases and other documentation required.
• Organise and coordinate meetings, workshops, technical discussions, engagements and capacity-building activities to strengthen industry preparedness and knowledge transfer.
• Monitor the development of conventional and advanced nuclear reactor technologies.
• Support the development and maintenance of technical data and records that are related to technology and industrial assessments.
• Support other cross-functional initiatives of MyPOWER and undertake additional duties as may be assigned by Management from time to time.

3. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline will be an advantage.
• Experience in technology development, industry development, supply chain management, project management, or related fields in highly regulated industry such as energy, manufacturing, aerospace, oil and gas, or similar industries.
• Strong analytical, research and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate findings into clear, practical and evidence-based recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, independently complete assigned tasks, manage multiple priorities and engage constructively with stakeholders.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, initiative and attention to detail.
• Prior nuclear-sector experience is not required. Relevant knowledge of nuclear-power technology, the IAEA Milestones Approach, nuclear-quality requirements and related international standards will be developed within the role.
