Senior Embedded Software Engineer – GUI/LVGL

Location: Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur preferred; candidates nationwide welcome)

Our CLIENT is expanding into Malaysia and is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to support a 1-year project focused on money-handling and counterfeit-detection devices.

ROLE OVERVIEW

You will develop and implement embedded graphical interfaces using LVGL, supporting multiple product programmes through a shared software platform and codebase.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop embedded GUIs using LVGL
• Redesign existing and develop new product interfaces
• Integrate displays and touch controllers
• Develop GUI frameworks, themes, assets and localization
• Support PC-based GUI simulation and testing
• Handle embedded debugging, memory optimization and performance
• Collaborate with hardware, mechanical and external engineering teams

REQUIREMENTS

• LVGL experience
• Strong C / Embedded Software experience
• Hands-on GUI / UI/UX development experience for embedded devices
• Experience with ESP32, STM32, NXP, Renesas, Nordic or similar
• Experience with FreeRTOS / RTOS
• Knowledge of SPI, I2C and UART
• Display and touch-controller integration experience
• ESP-IDF experience is an advantage
• Good English communication skills
