We’re Hiring: HPC Engineer – L2 | Singapore

Alphaeus is looking for hands-on High Performance Computing (HPC) Engineers to support HPC clusters, parallel filesystems and associated infrastructure.

Location: Singapore

Salary: SGD 8,000–8,500 per month

Contract: 1 year, renewable

Openings: 4 positions

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, operate and maintain HPC clusters.

• Perform Linux administration, performance tuning, patching and troubleshooting.

• Manage storage, backups, disaster recovery and security controls.

• Automate operations using Bash/Python and maintain documentation.

• Support researcher training, workshops and project onboarding.

Requirements

5+ years of Linux/UNIX administration, preferably RHEL.

Hands-on experience with HPC clusters, job schedulers and parallel filesystems.

Experience with PBS/PBS Pro/Slurm, GPFS/BeeGFS/Lustre and InfiniBand.

Familiarity with Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus or Ganglia.

Bash/Python scripting and provisioning tools such as Ansible, xCAT, Kickstart, BCM or Puppet.

Experience with cloud/virtualisation, containers and parallel programming libraries; familiarity with GPU tools such as CUDA, OpenCL or PyTorch.

Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
