Job Description

Responsibilities

We’re hiring: Truck & Trailer Mechanic / Technician

HT is looking for a hands-on Mechanic / Technician to maintain our Scania and Hino trucks and trailers in Kuching, Sarawak. Full-time, reporting to the Workshop Manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out and supervise service and repair work according to the workshop planning schedule.
  • Obtain driver feedback on service / repair needs, then update the maintenance file and workshop planning.
  • Service and repair Scania / Hino trucks: engine, transmission, brakes, suspension and electrical.
  • Diagnose faults using truck scanners and diagnostic software.
  • Service and repair trailers: brakes, air lines, axles, lighting and landing legs.
  • Keep job records accurate and the workshop safe and tidy.

Requirements

  • SKM / Certificate / Diploma in Automotive or Mechanical, or equivalent.
  • [2]+ years’ heavy-vehicle experience, preferably Scania and/or Hino.
  • Able to use a computer and truck diagnostic scanner.
  • Valid driving licence; GDL / Class E is an advantage.
  • Willing to work overtime or attend breakdowns when needed.
