Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Monitor outstanding premiums and follow up with brokers, cedants and syndicates to ensure timely collection and settlement.
Reconcile outstanding balances and resolve payment discrepancies and queries.
Monitor aged debt and provide regular updates on overdue accounts.
Allocate incoming payments and maintain accurate records of collections.
Liaise with internal teams, brokers and syndicates to resolve outstanding balances.
Prepare credit control reports and support month-end closing activities.
Assist with other finance-related duties as required.
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in credit control, preferably within the insurance or reinsurance industry.
Familiarity with reinsurance premiums, broker accounts and syndicate transactions would be an advantage.
Good communication, organisational and reconciliation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
Detail-oriented, proactive and able to work independently.
