Full Time Senior Associate, Development Engineering Packaging Jobs, in SC Johnson Selangor - Maukerja

Summary:

The Development Engineering Packaging Senior Associate is responsible for contributing the technical development of new or revised packaging materials & products on global brands within the Pest Control category. This role will develop new products/packages, line extensions, and lead technology advancements which expand the organizational and market needs for the assigned portion of our business. This role receives overall project objectives from the project leader and works independently to accomplish technical results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Project-Level Packaging Engineering Ownership.
• Own end-to-end packaging development activities for medium-complexity NPD, line extension and packaging change projects from concept through commercialization.
• Develop packaging specification validation strategies and manufacturing readiness plans.
• Define package design, component qualification, compatibility testing, distribution testing and process / line qualification requirements.
• Lead packaging development, pilot builds, supplier trials, plant trials and manufacturing implementation activities.
• Manage package-related risks throughout product development.
• Resolve packaging technical issues impacting commercialization schedules, product quality, consumer use or packaging manufacturability.
• Lead packaging technology transfer and implementation across manufacturing sites, suppliers or contract manufacturers.
• Manage packaging engineering activities involving internal partners and external suppliers.
• Mentor Senior Associates and provide packaging technical guidance to project teams.
• Drive packaging optimization, sustainability, productivity and cost-improvement initiatives within assigned projects.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

• Minimum of 5+ years of packaging development, package scale-up, qualification, commercialization and relevant project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
• Experience in package performance testing, compatibility testing, distribution testing, manufacturing qualification and specification generation preferred.
