Role Description The Procurement Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Selangor, Malaysia. This role is responsible for sourcing and evaluating suppliers, preparing and managing requests for quotation (RFQs), and negotiating pricing and terms to support production and project needs. The Procurement Engineer will issue and monitor purchase orders, track delivery performance, and coordinate closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure materials and components meet technical specifications. Daily activities include analyzing cost and supply data, maintaining procurement documentation, resolving supplier-related issues, and supporting continuous improvement of procurement processes. The role also involves contributing to risk management in the supply chain and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in supplier evaluation and assessment, including capability, quality, and reliability reviews.
• Candidates should possess skills in managing purchase orders and related procurement documentation, from issuance through delivery and invoicing.
• Candidates should possess strong analytical skills to compare quotations, evaluate total cost of ownership, and support data-driven decisions.
• Candidates should possess clear and professional communication skills for collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess experience with Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes, including specification review and price analysis.
• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in automotive, air-conditioning, or appliance manufacturing environments is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems, basic contract terms, and cost-saving initiatives is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.
