Job Description
Responsibilities
Deliver safe and effective haemodialysis nursing care in accordance with established clinical protocols and professional standards.
Perform dialysis procedures, including AV fistula and AV graft needling, within the authorised scope of practice and demonstrated competency.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and clinical conditions during treatment, document findings accurately and escalate abnormalities promptly.
Ensure dialysis machines and related equipment are safe, clean, functional and ready for use before and after each treatment.
Maintain adequate supplies and ensure proper handling, cleaning, disinfection and storage of clinical equipment.
Uphold infection-control practices and maintain a clean and safe dialysis centre environment.
Support daily nursing operations and provide guidance to nursing colleagues where appropriate.
Assist doctors and the healthcare team during patient assessments, examinations and treatment procedures.
Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with applicable policies, procedures and patient-safety requirements.
Collaborate with the Head Nurse and multidisciplinary team to maintain quality care and efficient centre operations.
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Head Nurse.
