Full Time COSTING - COMMERCIAL EXECUTIVE (MANUFACTURING) Jobs, Salary up to MYR 4,500 in Smartlink Engineering Selangor - Maukerja

Smartlink Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is a Malaysian contract manufacturer and engineering solutions provider serving the semiconductor and high-technology industries. Our capabilities include cable and wire harness assembly, control boxes and panels, electrical and mechanical module assembly, box-build assemblies, precision engineering and system integration.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Costing & Commercial Executive to support our product costing, quotation preparation and commercial activities. The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Production and Sales to ensure accurate costing and competitive quotations.

Work Location: Seksyen 32, Shah Alam

The position will relocate to our new Sijangkang facility upon completion and commencement of operations at the new factory.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare product costing and quotations for customer RFQs, new projects and existing products.
• Calculate product costs based on BOM, material prices, labour, manufacturing processes, machining, subcontracting and production overheads.
• Review customer RFQs, BOMs, technical specifications and engineering drawings to determine costing requirements.
• Obtain and verify material and process costs from suppliers and internal departments for quotation preparation.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and ensure quotations are submitted accurately within the required timelines.
• Analyse product costs, pricing and profit margins to support competitive and commercially viable quotations.
• Review Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) and assess their impact on product costs and selling prices.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Production and Sales to clarify costing requirements and validate cost information.
• Maintain and update costing databases, material prices and quotation records to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement to support business profitability.

Requirements :

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in product costing, quotation, estimation or commercial functions within a manufacturing environment.
• Fresh graduates with a relevant qualification and a strong interest in manufacturing costing are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of BOM, material costing, manufacturing processes and engineering drawings.
• Good analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or manufacturing costing systems will be an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with different departments.
• Able to manage multiple quotations and meet deadlines with good attention to detail.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
