We’re looking to add a
Principal Engineer, R&D(Mechanical)
in Singapore. The position is based in our HQ at AngMo Kio.
As a
Principal Engineer, R&D(Mechanical)
, you will be:
Responsible for the development and delivery of a wide range of state-of-the-art products for global markets, from invention to mass production.
To engage positively and closely with customers to understand the Scope of Work (SOW).
Provide supervision and guidance to fellow Engineers for better quality design.
Perform mechanical parts design, including plastic, sheet metal and rubber parts.
Perform design of electro-mechanical subsystems, micro mechanism and transmission systems.
Work with the Manufacturing team and part suppliers throughout the product cycle in a fast-paced environment.
Coordinate construction of prototype and pilot run articles.
Review and evaluate vendors for performance.
Lead project discussions as and when required.
Troubleshoot, analyst and provide solutions for technical problems faced during development.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company.
Requirements
Masters/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 8 years' relevant experience
Strong knowledge and experience in mechanism or automation design are preferred
Knowledge and design experience in plastic, sheet metal and rubber parts will be advantageous
Strong knowledge and experience in mechanism or automation design are preferred
Knowledge and design experience in plastic, sheet metal and rubber parts will be advantageous
Good team player with strong passion for design
Familiarity with CAD tools like Pro Engineer and Solid Designer
Overseas attachment may be required
