Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable and decisive Airfreight Manager to lead our air logistics department. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire airfreight operations, driving team performance, and making strategic decisions to ensure optimal efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is an experienced freight forwarding professional with a strong track record of leading teams and navigating complex logistical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
Manage, mentor, and guide the airfreight operations team to ensure high performance, productivity, and a positive working environment.
Operations Management:
Oversee end-to-end day-to-day airfreight operations, including import, export, and transshipment activities, ensuring timely and secure cargo delivery.
Strategic Decision Making:
Make critical operational and commercial decisions to resolve escalations, optimize routing, and maximize cost-efficiency.
Process Improvement:
Continuously review and streamline operational workflows, implementing best practices to improve service quality and operational turnaround times.
Stakeholder Management:
Liaise effectively with airlines, ground handling agents, customs authorities, and internal departments to negotiate rates, secure space, and ensure smooth operations.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all airfreight activities strictly adhere to industry standards, aviation security regulations, and local customs compliance.
