Electrical Engineering Programme Manager – Data Centres

Lead electrical design review across major hyperscale / colocation data-centre infrastructure in Singapore.

This role is for an electrical engineer with direct data-centre design-review experience who can take consultant design packages from approximately 65% maturity through to 100% final coordinated issue.

You’ll challenge drawings, identify design gaps and drive technical decisions across critical-power systems. Site-based, commissioning, facilities or operational experience alone will not be sufficient.

The role

You’ll work across internal engineering teams, design consultants, construction and commissioning stakeholders, taking ownership of electrical design review and coordination through the later stages of design development.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring consultant designs meet client specifications, technical standards, resilience requirements and wider multidisciplinary interfaces before progressing into construction.

What you’ll work across

• Electrical design packages from approximately 65% through to 100% / final coordinated design
• Review and challenge of consultant drawings, calculations and technical submissions
• SLDs and critical-power architecture
• MV/LV electrical distribution
• Transformers and switchgear
• UPS systems and standby generators
• Redundancy, resilience and failure-mode considerations
• Multidisciplinary design interfaces and coordination
• Technical risks, design gaps and issue close-out
• Construction and commissioning coordination where required

What we’re looking for

You must bring direct hyperscale or colocation data-centre electrical experience with proven responsibility for reviewing and influencing electrical designs.

We’re specifically looking for someone who has:

• Personally reviewed and challenged electrical design packages, rather than simply installed, witnessed or commissioned them
• Taken designs through later-stage development from around 65% maturity to final coordinated issue
• Reviewed consultant drawings against client specifications, engineering standards and design intent
• Strong working knowledge of SLDs, MV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators and critical-power redundancy
• Identified design gaps, coordination problems and technical risks — and driven them through to resolution
• Coordinated effectively across consultants, designers, construction teams and commissioning stakeholders
• Clear examples of where their technical input has changed, improved or corrected an electrical design

Important

This is not primarily a site-engineering, facilities, operations or commissioning role.

Candidates whose experience is mainly installation supervision, commissioning, maintenance or operational data-centre engineering — without substantial electrical design-review responsibility — are unlikely to be suitable.

Useful additional experience

Experience with Revit/BIM coordination, design standardisation, repeatable engineering products, technology insertion or client-side technical assurance would be advantageous.

Strong candidates may currently work as Electrical Design Manager, Senior Electrical Engineer, Lead Electrical Engineer, Electrical Engineering Manager, Data Centre Electrical Design Lead or Electrical Technical Programme Manager.
