Requirements
Education & experience:
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in International Business, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in export sales, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
Strong background in managing overseas markets and distributors.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent knowledge of export documentation, customs regulations, and Incoterms.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Fluency in English (additional languages such as Mandarin, Arabic, or Japanese are an advantage).
Responsibilities
International Sales & Market Development
Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in international markets.
Execute sales strategies to achieve assigned revenue and growth targets.
Build and expand relationships with importers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers globally.
Conduct market research to understand consumer demand, pricing, and competitive activities.
Represent the company at international trade shows, exhibitions, and business meetings.
Customer & Distributor Management
Develop strong, long-term relationships with overseas distributors and customers.
Provide training, product knowledge, and marketing support to distributors.
Monitor distributor performance and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
Handle and resolve customer issues or complaints in a timely manner.
Export Operations & Documentation
Prepare and manage export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, health/Halal certificates, and shipping documents.
Coordinate with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure timely shipment.
Ensure adherence to Incoterms, customs requirements, and import/export laws.
Track orders and shipments, providing proactive updates to customers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Production, QA/QC, Finance, and Logistics to fulfill export orders.
Collaborate with Marketing to adapt product strategies for regional markets.
Provide feedback to R&D for new product development based on market trends.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, certifications (Halal, HACCP, ISO, GMP), and destination country standards.
Monitor risks in logistics, payment collection, and customer contracts.
Stay updated on changes in global trade policies, tariffs, and currency fluctuations.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends.
Pre and post event report
Maintain accurate CRM records of clients and distributors.
Analyze export sales data and recommend strategies for growth.
