Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in sales, preferably in regional or territory management
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Strong experience in managing distributors, wholesalers, and retail channels
Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans tailored to regional markets
Excellent relationship-building and customer management skills
Strong business acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities and drive expansion
Experience in appointing and developing distributors is an added advantage
Good understanding of sales operations, order processing, and supply chain coordination
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, competitor activities, and sales performance
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of assigned territory
Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region
Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Home-Based Regional Sales Representativeis responsible for managing and growing sales within aspecific geographic region while working remotely. Each representative “owns” their assigned territory such as the Central, Northern, or Southern region and is accountable for achieving regional sales targets, expanding market presence, and managing key customer relationships.
Each Sales Representative will be assigned and responsible for a specific territory, such as:
Central Region (Selangor, Kuala Lumpur)
Northern Region (Penang, Kedah, Perlis)
Southern Region (Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan)
East Coast Region (Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang)
Key Responsibilities
1. Territory Ownership & Sales Growth
· Take full ownership of assigned region sales performance
· Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
· Develop and execute region-specific sales plans
2. Regional Customer Management
· Manage key accounts, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers within the region
· Conduct scheduled physical visits and virtual meetings
· Build long-term business relationships and ensure repeat sales
3. Distributor Development
· Appoint new distributors where gaps exist
· Monitor distributor performance, stock levels, and coverage
· Ensure strong product availability and market penetration
4. Market Expansion
· Identify new business opportunities within the region
· Expand into new outlets, channels, and territories
· Increase product listing and shelf presence
5. Sales Operations & Coordination
· Process and track orders from customers
· Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and production teams
· Ensure timely delivery and resolve service issues
6. Regional Market Intelligence
· Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotions
· Provide feedback on customer trends and product demand
· Recommend strategies for regional growth
7. Reporting & Performance Tracking
· Submit weekly and monthly sales reports
· Provide sales forecasts and pipeline updates
· Track performance against regional KPIs
