Job Description

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an added advantage

  • Minimum 3–6 years of relevant working experience

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Experience in retail/FMCG industry is an added advantage

  • Ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage


Responsibilities

  • Manage full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL)

  • Lead and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing, including preparation and review of all supporting schedules

  • Prepare accurate monthly financial reports, management accounts, and variance analysis

  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules

  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support financial planning

  • Perform financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to management

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations (including SST), and statutory requirements

  • Handle tax matters, including computation and timely submission to authorities

  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory bodies on financial matters

  • Coordinate internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and handling audit queries

  • Oversee AR, AP, and credit control processes, including monitoring of outstanding receivables

  • Review payment proposals and ensure efficient cash flow management

  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure proper documentation of financial processes

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement in financial efficiency

  • Assist in implementation and enhancement of accounting systems and ERP

  • Supervise, review, and mentor junior accounting staff

  • Support management in business decision-making with financial insights

  • Handle ad-hoc assignments, projects, and reporting as required
