Job Description

Requirements

  • Head Chef, Sous Chef and Kitchen helper position available

  • Demonstrate basic knowledge and willingness to learn food preparation techniques under supervision.

  • Assist in maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards, including dishwashing, surface sanitization, and waste disposal.

  • Support inventory management by assisting in stock rotation, labeling, and notifying supervisors of low stock levels.

  • Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation guidelines to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.

  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

  • Communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia and English to understand instructions and convey information clearly.

  • Willingness to work on-site in Penang Island and adhere to the company's work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of food items according to standardized recipes and procedures, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to hygiene and sanitation standards to prevent food contamination and ensure a safe food handling environment.

  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and inform the supervisor when stocks are low, assisting in receiving and storing deliveries properly to maintain freshness and quality.

  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service, assisting in various tasks as needed to meet customer demands and maintain a positive team environment.

  • Follow all established procedures for food storage, rotation, and waste disposal to minimize spoilage and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, as well as portioning ingredients accurately to support efficient food production.
