Requirements

Education & Credentials

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration. Many candidates pursue postgraduate qualifications like a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Finance.

Professional accounting or finance credentials such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CFA are standard requirements

Experience

Minimum 10 years in corporate finance or accounting, including 5 years in senior executive or director roles.

Experience managing finance teams, executing financial strategies, liaising with tax authorities, and overseeing budgets.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee all financial aspects of the organization and drive the company’s financial strategy and planning. The CFO will be responsible for financial management, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, risk management, and providing strategic recommendations to support business growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent financial expertise, business acumen, and experience managing finance operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with business objectives.

Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and senior management team.

Support long-term business planning, growth initiatives, and investment decisions.

Participate in executive leadership meetings and strategic planning sessions.

Financial Planning & Analysis

Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Monitor company financial performance and provide variance analysis.

Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for operational improvements and profitability enhancement.

Accounting & Financial Operations

Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, and general ledger.

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital efficiently.

Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance practices.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and financial reporting standards.

Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.

Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Maintain corporate insurance and risk management programs.

Business & Investment Management

Evaluate investment opportunities, business expansion plans, and capital expenditure projects.

Lead fundraising, financing, and banking activities when required.

Support mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring initiatives.

Manage relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions.

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.

Establish performance goals and ensure team productivity and accountability.

Promote continuous improvement and automation within finance operations.
