Requirements & Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Basic understanding of construction contracts, cost estimation, and quantity take-off.

Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

Knowledge of QS software such as AutoCAD, CostX, Glodon, or Cubicost is an advantage.

Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Willingness to learn and work in a site/project environment.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and cost management functions of construction projects. The Junior Quantity Surveyor will assist in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, contract administration, progress claims, and project cost monitoring to ensure projects are completed within budget and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation & Quantity Take-Off

Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.

Perform quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings and specifications.

Support the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BQ).

Assist in material costing and price comparisons.

Contract Administration

Assist in reviewing contracts, quotations, and subcontractor agreements.

Support the administration of project contracts and documentation.

Monitor project variations and assist in preparing variation orders.

Project Cost Control

Track project costs and monitor expenditures against approved budgets.

Assist in preparing monthly cost reports and financial updates.

Support valuation of work completed and progress claims.

Procurement & Supplier Coordination

Assist in sourcing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Coordinate with procurement and site teams regarding material and subcontractor requirements.

Maintain records of supplier pricing and procurement documentation.

Site Coordination & Measurement

Conduct site visits and verify work progress when required.

Assist in site measurements and valuation of completed works.

Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors on quantity-related matters.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain organized project records, contracts, invoices, and cost documentation.

Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documents for management review.

Ensure proper filing and document control procedures are followed.
