Requirements

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Chef & Assistant Head Chef to join our team. If you have a passion for the Hospitality & Tourism industry and a keen interest in Japanese cuisine, we’d love to hear from you!

General Requirement for both roles:

•          Strong understanding of food safety (HACCP), storage, and freshness quality.

•          Ability to create daily specials, cost-friendly menus, and recipe consistency, is added advantage

•          Skilled in inventory & stock control, especially costing.

•          Able to lead the kitchen team, assign duties, and ensure smooth operations.

•          Train new chefs following our SOP’s and hygiene practices.

•          Responsible for food cost control, waste management, and yield optimization.

•          Ensure SOP compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict adherence to HACCP standards, proper food storage, and freshness quality checks and focus on food handling.

  • Develop daily specials and cost-friendly menus while maintaining recipe consistency.

  • Oversee inventory and stock control, monitor food costing, and optimize yield to minimize waste.

  • Lead the kitchen team by assigning duties, supervising workflow, and ensuring smooth operations during service.

  • Train new chefs according to SOPs, hygiene practices, and outlet standards to maintain consistency.

  • Manage food costs, reduce waste, and implement yield optimization strategies to maximize profitability.

  • Guarantee compliance with SOPs for presentation, taste, and quality, ensuring every dish meets outlet standards.
