Requirements


  • Industry Expertise: Proven track record and a robust, active network within the construction industry.

  • Professional Background: Prior experience working with contractors, developers, consultants, QS firms, project management teams, or construction sales is highly preferred.

  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate confidently with clients, consultants, and senior industry professionals.

  • Attributes: Proactive, independent, results-oriented, and driven by growth.

  • Value Add: Candidates possessing immediate project leads or established client connections will hold a distinct advantage.

  • Language: English + Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin will add advantange as need to liased/serve China construction company

Remuneration & Benefits:

Competitive Package: Attractive basic salary, allowances, and performance-based commission/profit-sharing (open for negotiation based on experience and capabilities).

High Incentives: A highly lucrative commission structure will be provided for successfully secured projects.

Responsibilities

We are an established construction company looking for a strategic, capable, and well-connected Head of Business Development-New Headcount. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in sourcing, developing, and securing new project opportunities to drive the company’s growth.

Company Location: Pengerang , Johor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Expansion: Proactively source and identify new construction project opportunities.

  • Relationship Management: Establish, develop, and maintain strong, long-term professional relationships with developers, consultants, main contractors, and potential clients.

  • Lead Management: Diligently track and follow up on project leads, tender invitations, and upcoming business opportunities.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal Quantity Surveying (QS) and Project teams for accurate pricing, competitive tender submissions, and contract negotiations.

  • Client Representation: Attend high-level client meetings, present corporate capabilities, and lead project discussions.

  • Network Growth: Expand the company’s corporate network and industry footprint across the region.
