Requirements
Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Experience: Minimum 2 years above experience handling FULL SET ACCOUNTS independently. Candidates with only AR/AP experience will not be considered.
Industry Experience: Manufacturing accounting experience is an advantage.
Module & System Skills: Highly proficient in handling the financial, costing, and asset valuation aspects within the ERP/Accounting system's Production and Warehouse/Inventory modules.
Language: Good command of Mandarin (reading & writing) to liaise with China headquarters; able to communicate in basic English and Malay.
Compliance: Familiar with Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS) and statutory requirements.
Skills: Knowledge of inventory valuation accounting, product costing, and manufacturing variance analysis is preferred. Familiarity with PRC accounting practices or China financial reporting is an added advantage.
Software: Proficient in Accounting SQL software, ERP financial systems, and Microsoft Office (especially advanced Excel for cost data and financial reconciliation).
Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, responsible, strong numerical accuracy, and able to work independently.
Attitude: Positive working attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Salary: Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience, costing background, and capability.
Responsibilities
1. Full Set Accounts & Statutory Compliance
Handle full-set accounts including AR, AP, GL and bank reconciliation independently.
Perform month-end closing, ensure compliance with accounting standards (MFRS), and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
Handle e-invoicing and other statutory submissions.
Maintain proper accounting records and coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretary.
2. Production & Inventory Financial Control
Audit, review, and monitor daily financial data within the ERP Production Module (verifying work order settlements, actual material consumption costs, and manufacturing variance analysis).
Handle inventory valuation accounting, product costing, and system ledger reconciliations within the Warehouse/Inventory Module to ensure correct asset valuation (No physical warehouse management required).
Review and verify product Bill of Materials (BOM) pricing, monitor production yield costs, and perform comprehensive cost variance analysis.
Provide analytical financial support to reconcile data between production output and material costs to prevent financial leakage.
3. Group Reporting & Management Support
Handle intercompany transactions, internal financial controls, and complete financial reporting packages to the China headquarters.
Monitor company expenses, purchase orders, and financial approval workflows.
Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and generating financial insights for efficiency improvement and cost control.
Perform other finance-related duties assigned by management.
