Job Summary:
As the QA Executive in our precision stamping company, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and quality control processes. You will lead a team of QA inspectors and technicians to ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Your role will involve developing QA strategies, implementing quality systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Management System (QMS):
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations.
- Establish quality objectives, policies, and procedures to standardize quality practices across production, inspection, and testing processes.
2. Quality Assurance Planning:
- Develop QA strategies, annual quality plans, and objectives aligned with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Plan and prioritize quality assurance activities, including inspections, audits, and process validations, to achieve product quality targets and production schedules.
3. Process Improvement and Compliance:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce defects, and enhance product quality and reliability.
- Conduct root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and implement quality improvements based on data-driven insights and performance metrics.
4. Supplier Quality Management:
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to establish supplier quality agreements, conduct supplier audits, and ensure incoming materials meet quality standards.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve quality issues, and implement supplier corrective actions to maintain a consistent supply of quality materials.
5. Quality Control and Inspection:
- Establish inspection criteria, sampling plans, and quality control procedures to monitor product conformity and compliance with specifications.
- Review inspection reports, analyze inspection data, and provide feedback to production teams to address non-conformities and ensure product quality.
6. Customer and Regulatory Compliance:
- Manage customer quality requirements, complaints, and feedback to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Interface with customers during audits, quality reviews, and contract negotiations to demonstrate quality capabilities and compliance with contractual obligations.
7. Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of QA inspectors, technicians, and quality engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and teamwork.
- Conduct performance evaluations, training programs, and skills development initiatives to enhance team capabilities and effectiveness.
8. Quality Metrics and Reporting:
- Monitor key quality metrics, such as first pass yield, scrap rates, rework levels, and customer returns, to track performance trends and drive improvement actions.
- Prepare and present QA performance reports, trend analyses, and improvement recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., ASQ, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a QA Executive or in a senior quality role within a precision manufacturing environment, preferably in metal stamping or automotive industries.
- Comprehensive knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, APQP), and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Experience in leading quality audits, managing supplier quality, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and data-driven decision-making to resolve quality issues and improve process efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams, drive change initiatives, and foster a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with quality management software (e.g., QMS, ERP) and proficiency in statistical analysis tools for quality data interpretation.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and their application in improving manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Understanding of metrology, dimensional inspection techniques, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism in all quality-related activities.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
