Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
2–5 years of relevant engineering experience in complex equipment or system environments
Solid understanding of mechanical design, tolerancing and material selection
Basic knowledge of vacuum systems, thermal control and process fundamentals (pressure, flow, energy)
Familiarity with power distribution and automation concepts
Experience in 2D & 3D computer-aided design (e.g. Creo) and exposure to electrical design tools
Working knowledge of product lifecycle management and enterprise resource planning systems
Strong analytical skills with structured problem-solving capability
High level of ownership, accountability and cross-functional collaboration
Fluent English
Malaysian only
Responsibilities
Define and manage system and subsystem requirements, ensuring clarity across interfaces
Develop mechanical layouts and subsystem architectures, including vacuum, exhaust, thermal and power distribution elements
Conduct structured problem solving using root cause analysis and 8D methodology
Perform risk assessments and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, driving mitigation actions to closure
Optimize designs for manufacturability and cost awareness
Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, drawings and change records
Manage configuration and engineering changes in product lifecycle systems
Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, service, quality and supply chain
