Facility & Building Operations
- Assist in managing day-to-day building and facility operations to ensure all systems are functioning efficiently and safely.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of building infrastructure, including office facilities, production support areas, common facilities, and external building surroundings.
- Monitor the performance and condition of building systems such as HVAC, electrical systems, lighting, plumbing, fire protection systems, lifts, water supply, and drainage systems.
- Ensure all facility-related issues are attended to promptly with minimal disruption to operations.
Maintenance Management
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities for building and facility systems.
- Develop and maintain maintenance schedules, service records, and facility documentation.
- Troubleshoot building-related issues and coordinate with internal teams or contractors for rectification works.
- Ensure maintenance works are completed according to schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
Contractor & Vendor Management
- Supervise and coordinate external service providers, contractors, and vendors for building maintenance, repair works, cleaning, pest control, landscaping, and other facility-related services.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with agreed scope of work, service standards, safety procedures, and company requirements.
- Support quotation review, cost comparison, service agreements, and contractor evaluation processes.
Safety, Compliance & Regulatory Requirements
- Ensure building and facility operations comply with local regulations, statutory requirements, safety standards, and internal policies.
- Support the management of licenses, inspections, certifications, and compliance records related to building facilities, fire protection systems, lift systems, and other statutory equipment.
- Work closely with EHS/Safety teams to ensure safe facility operations and timely closure of identified risks or non-compliance issues.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and emergency response planning related to facility and building management.
Utilities & Cost Control
- Monitor utilities consumption such as electricity, water, gas, and other building-related operating costs.
- Support energy-saving initiatives, facility improvement plans, and cost optimization activities.
- Assist in preparing budgets, tracking expenses, and controlling maintenance and facility-related spending.
Improvement Projects
- Support facility upgrading, renovation, layout changes, and building improvement projects.
- Coordinate project activities with internal stakeholders, contractors, and relevant authorities where required.
- Ensure projects are completed within timeline, budget, and quality expectations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Management, Facilities Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of working experience in building/facility management, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance, M&E systems, HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection systems, and general building infrastructure.
- Experience in managing preventive maintenance, contractor coordination, and facility operations.
- Familiar with local statutory and regulatory requirements related to building and facility management.
- Good understanding of safety, compliance, and environmental practices in facility operations.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, coordination, and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple facility-related priorities effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance/facility documentation reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing plant or industrial facility environment will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of energy management, facility improvement projects, and utilities monitoring is preferred.
- Competency in handling contractors, audits, and building compliance documentation will be an advantage.
