Full Time Assistant Manager Purchasing (Apparel Industry) Jobs, in Agensi Pekerjaan Talent Recruit WP Kuala Lumpur - Maukerja

Minimum qualification of a Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related study. 

At least 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in purchasing, procurement, or sourcing roles. 

Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia

Experience in the apparel, accessories, and footwear industry will be a strong added advantage. 

Exposure to vendor management, cost negotiation, inventory planning, and contract administration is preferred. 

Prior experience leading or supervising junior purchasing staff will be an added advantage.

Develop and implement purchasing strategies to achieve cost efficiency, quality standards, and on-time delivery targets. 

Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for materials, trims, accessories, and footwear items. 

Oversee and manage Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely fulfilment. 

Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company SOPs, documentation standards, and audit requirements. 

Monitor stock levels and coordinate closely with Production and Warehouse teams to prevent shortages or overstock situations.

Manage and control purchasing budgets, while supporting cost-saving and value-improvement initiatives. 

Review and evaluate supplier performance, maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor records. 

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, and proactively resolve delivery, quality, or supply issues. 

Work collaboratively with Production, Warehouse, and Accounts to support operational and business needs. 

Lead, guide, and supervise the purchasing team, providing training, performance guidance, and decision support.
