About the role

We're scaling the infrastructure and the products behind a fast-growing AI platform. This role sits right in the middle of it: high-throughput routing engines on one side, developer-facing dashboards on the other, and you moving freely between the two.

If you're the kind of engineer who gets bored being fenced into one layer, this is the one.

What you'll do

- Own features end to end. Design, build and maintain them across backend services and frontend applications.
- Optimise for speed. Cut latency overhead out of our prompt routing pipeline.
- Manage the data layer. Schema design, query optimisation and data modelling across relational and non-relational stores.
- Support the infrastructure. Deploy, monitor and manage cloud resources so our services stay available.
- Hold the quality bar. Comprehensive unit, integration and end-to-end tests are part of shipping, not a follow-up ticket.

What you need

- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience in a production environment.
- Strong proficiency in Go or Python. One of the two is a firm requirement — we screen on it.
- Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency patterns, and building RESTful or gRPC APIs.
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js.
- Proficiency in React, Next.js or Vue for building developer dashboards, API key management tools and analytics views.
- Production experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL — Redis for caching and rate-limiting, MongoDB, or ClickHouse for analytics.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, plus Docker and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- A deep commitment to testable code and a solid grasp of unit testing frameworks go test, pytest, Jest).
- Understanding of time and space complexity, memory management, and how to identify a real performance bottleneck.

Nice to have

- AI / LLM knowledge: familiarity with the ecosystem (Anthropic, OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, Ollama). Understanding tokenization, embeddings and prompt structures is a massive plus.
- Experience building tools specifically for developers — APIs, SDKs, or CLI tools.
- Knowledge of edge computing or serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Cloudflare Workers).
- Experience handling real-time data streaming or WebSockets.
