About the Role:

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Tech Lead Software Engineer to take technical leadership across our web, mobile, backend, and AI initiatives — including the revamped taxPOD all-in-one tax learning platform and our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will set technical direction, run the team's delivery rhythm, and stay close enough to the code to be credible in it. We embrace AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) as a standard part of our workflow, and we expect this role to set the bar for how well the team uses them.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in software development, preferably in a senior or technical lead role.

• Strong experience with:

  • .NET Core (C#)

  • Angular

  • PostgreSQL

  • Azure

• Experience with REST APIs, Microservices, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with Flutter is an advantage.

• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar).

• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

• Experience in tax, accounting, or audit software is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

• Design and develop scalable applications using .NET Core (C#), PostgreSQL, and Azure.

• Build and maintain secure, high-performance APIs.

• Maintain the MBRS module in compliance with SSM requirements.

• Integrate AI technologies such as LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, DeepSeek) and RAG into our products.

• Develop AI features including intelligent search, document analysis, and workflow automation.

AI & Innovation

• Lead AI initiatives such as askPOD and AI-powered automation.

• Improve AI performance, accuracy, and cost efficiency.

• Enhance RAG pipelines, document processing, and data workflows.

• Promote effective use of AI coding tools and best practices across the engineering team.

Technical Leadership

• Define technical architecture and engineering standards.

• Mentor and support software engineers.

• Work closely with Product, UI/UX, Frontend, and Infrastructure teams.

• Guide the team in adopting modern development practices and AI-assisted engineering.

Agile Delivery

• Lead Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Plan and manage sprint delivery.

• Remove blockers and ensure projects are delivered on time.

• Monitor team progress and continuously improve development processes.

Quality & Performance

• Ensure high code quality through testing and code reviews.

• Improve application performance, security, and reliability.

• Optimize cloud infrastructure and database performance.
