Requirements
Education: Minimum SPM qualification; preference given to candidates holding a Certificate/Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications (Advantage):
Possession of an Occupational Safety & Health Coordinator (OSH-C) certificate is an added advantage.
Valid certification in First Aid & CPR, Fire Fighting Awareness, or related HSE training is an added advantage.
Technical Knowledge:
Fundamental knowledge of HIRARC, Permit to Work (PTW), and incident/accident investigation processes.
Basic knowledge of statutory requirements and compliance standards set by DOSH, DOE, and APAD relevant to transport operations and site safety.
Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and enforce occupational health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and workplace audits to identify potential hazards and ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
Coordinate and implement risk assessments, HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control), and Permit to Work (PTW) protocols.
Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive action plans.
Act as the key liaison for regulatory bodies, ensuring operations comply with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Department of Environment (DOE), and Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) regulations.
Organize and facilitate safety briefings, tool-box talks, and HSE training sessions for staff and contractors.
Maintain comprehensive HSE records, safety logs, and compliance documentation using office software tools.
