Full Time Tool Preset Technician Jobs, in Tonasco Malaysia Selangor - Maukerja

• Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field

• 1–3 years’ experience in CNC machining environment.

• Experience with CNC milling tools and tool holders (end mill, drill, tap, reamer, inserts, etc.)

• Ability to read setup sheets and technical drawings.

• Knowledge of tool presetting machines.

• Basic understanding of cutting parameters.

• Familiar with micrometers, calipers, and measuring instruments

1. Tool Preparation

• Prepare cutting tools according to setup sheet, tool list, and machining program requirements.

• Assemble tool holders, inserts, cutters, drills, taps, and other tooling components.

• Ensure tools are correctly assembled and tightened according to specification.

2. Tool Presetting

• Measure tool length and diameter offsets using tool presetting equipment.

• Enter or verify tool offset values for CNC machines.

• Ensure preset values meet required tolerance and accuracy standards.

3. Tool Management

• Maintain proper tool identification and labeling system.

• Organize tools in the presetting area.

• Ensure tools are available according to production schedule.

4. Tool Condition Monitoring

• Inspect tools for wear, damage, or breakage before releasing to production.

• Replace worn inserts or tools when necessary.

• Monitor tool life according to tool management system.

5. Documentation & Records

• Maintain tool presetting records.

• Update tool life monitoring system.

• Record tool usage and replacement history.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Suggest improvements to increase tool life and machining efficiency.

• Support initiatives related to Lean Manufacturing and 5S.

• Assist in standardizing tooling setups.
