Full Time Sous Chef Jobs, Salary up to MYR 6,000 in Goldmate Corporation Selangor - Maukerja

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Culinary degree or diploma from an accredited institution with experience in pastry/dessert making is an added advantage.

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a hot/cuisine kitchen, preferably in a Japanese and/or Chinese fine-dining restaurant.

• A problem solver, ability to manage and work as a team and delegate tasks effectively and independently, someone who is initiative and takes his job seriously.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, conversant in speaking and reading Mandarin and English.

• Strong attention to detail with ability to perform repetitive tasks on a daily basis.

• Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene is maintained at all times.

• Ability to work in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Creative and inquisitive, passionate in food culture, with a strong interest to learn and incorporate new ideas and ingredients into modern cuisine preparation and tea-pairing

• Proficient in Apple Macintosh and restaurant management softwares.

Physical Requirements:

• Fit and resilient, ability to lift heavy equipment and ingredients, this is a physically demanding job.

• Non-smoker preferred, with a strong commitment to personal hygiene

• Assist the Executive Chef in planning menus and creating dishes for the hot kitchen.

• Oversee and participate in food preparation and cooking activities.

• Ensure quality control and consistency of all food items prepared in the kitchen.

• Adhere to all health and safety standards and regulations.

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area.

• Assist with inventory management and ordering of food and kitchen supplies.

• Monitor food costs and control waste.

• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create new recipes and menus.

• Follow recipes and SOPs consistently.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef and management team, such as pastry and/or dessert work.
