Job Description

Requirements

  • Possess a Diploma in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrate 3-5 years of progressive experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the semiconductor or high-tech equipment industry.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis, reporting, and creating production schedules.

  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) concepts is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret production data, identify bottlenecks, and propose effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with production teams, engineering, procurement, and management.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential. Proficiency in Mandarin is a significant advantage.

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, lead times, and inventory management principles.

  • Proactive approach to identifying potential production issues and implementing preventative measures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.

  • Collaborate with production supervisors and team leads to monitor daily production progress and identify potential bottlenecks.

  • Gather and analyze production data, including output, scrap rates, and lead times, to support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, ensuring timely replenishment.

  • Support the procurement team by generating material requirements plans based on production schedules and inventory levels.

  • Communicate production status updates to relevant stakeholders, including sales, engineering, and management.

  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss production challenges and develop solutions.

  • Learn and utilize the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for scheduling, inventory management, and reporting.

  • Assist in the implementation of new production planning processes and tools.

  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards throughout the production process.
