High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Previous experience as a cashier; supervisory experience preferred

Strong leadership and communication skills

Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities

Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills

Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly

Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Supervise and support cashiers during daily operations

Schedule cashier shifts and manage break coverage to ensure adequate staffing

Ensure accurate cash handling, register balancing, and adherence to cash-control procedures

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and efficiently

Train new cashiers on POS systems, customer service standards, and store policies

Monitor checkout speed, accuracy, and customer service quality

Approve voids, refunds, overrides, and price checks as required

Enforce company policies, safety standards, and loss-prevention procedures

Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash reconciliation and reports

Coordinate with other departments to resolve pricing or inventory issues

Motivate and coach cashier staff to improve performance and teamwork
