About Xsolla Curine Academy

Xsolla Curine Academy is an academy dedicated to empowering game creators, artists, and developers. Starting this November, we are launching weekly weekend Game Jams where participants build playable games from scratch over 48 hours.

We are seeking an energetic, dependable Game Jam Event Coordinator to run our regular weekend circuit—supporting participants on-site, moderating our online Discord showcase, and ensuring every jam runs smoothly from start to finish.

Work Schedule & Commitment (~14 Hours per Weekend)

• Friday: 1-hour briefing and sync session (Online)
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (On-site @ INC KL Eco City, Kuala Lumpur)
• Sunday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Online via Discord; occasional future sessions may be in person)
• Start Date: 6th November 2026 (Every weekend)

Key Responsibilities

• Host & Onboard: Check in participants on arrival, welcome teams into the venue, and set an inviting, creative atmosphere.
• Deliver Briefings: Kick off the jam by briefing rules, themes, timelines, and deliverable submission steps.
• On-Site Coordination: Act as the primary point person to answer participant questions, troubleshoot logistical issues, and keep the event running on time.
• Content Capture: Take casual photos and short mobile video clips for marketing recap reels.
• Online Showcase Emcee (Sunday): Host the Discord showcase session, introduce presenting teams, screen-record the builds, and facilitate Q&A.
• Submission Guidance: Assist teams with uploading their final game builds to GamePix before the deadline.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Availability: Must be able to commit consistently every weekend (Friday – Sunday) starting 6th November 2026.
• Communication: Strong, confident verbal communication and public speaking skills in English (comfortable addressing groups and emceeing on camera/audio).
• Tech Familiarity: Proficient with Discord (handling stage channels, screen sharing, and screen recording).
• Problem-Solving: Organized, proactive, and calm under pressure when logistics shift.
• Nice to Have: Prior experience with campus event management, community moderation, hackathons, or game jams is an added advantage.
