We are seeking an
Accounts cum Admin Executive
to join our Finance and Administration team, playing a key role in maintaining accurate financial records while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of our administrative functions.
Key responsibilities
Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and maintain financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Assist with monthly account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger with precision.
Process invoices, purchase orders, and payment vouchers for approval and payment.
Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
Handle administrative duties including data entry, filing, record-keeping, correspondence, and office coordination.
Liaise with internal departments and external vendors regarding account queries and documentation.
Assist with bank reconciliations and cash management activities.
Support the accounts team with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
What we're looking for
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting.
Proficiency in at least one accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage) and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards.
Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to work with large volumes of data.
Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with professionalism.
Experience in the shipping or maritime industry is advantageous.
