Full Time Publishing Editor Jobs, Salary up to MYR 3,500 in Local Publications (M) Selangor - Maukerja

Advanced Diploma, Degree or equivalent qualification.

At least 3 years of experience as a Commissioning Editor or in a similar publishing or editorial role.

Good understanding of higher education market trends and business opportunities.

Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

Creative, proactive, meticulous and results-driven, with a strong commitment to deadlines.

Proficient in English, Bahasa MelayuandMandarin, with good written and verbal communication skills.

Willing to travel and possess own transport (car).

Develop content ideas and commission articles, manuscripts and business-related titles.

Oversee the editorial process, including reviewing, editing and providing feedback.

Develop publishing programmes.

Identify market trends and business opportunities to achieve publishing and financial targets.

Build and maintain relationships with authors and academic contacts.

Negotiate author contracts and agreements.

Plan and monitor projects to ensure quality, budget and timely delivery.

Conduct market research, evaluate manuscripts and prepare reports.

Coordinate with authors and editorial, production, sales and marketing teams.
