About the team
Doctor Anywhere's Operations team plays a vital role in driving the success of our TPA business. Our scope includes end-to-end claims processing, Letter of Guarantee (LOG) issuance, customer service, business processing, and panel network management. We support both virtual and in-person clinical services, ensuring smooth daily operations and swift resolution of any issues. Our focus is on delivering operational excellence and consistently providing a best-in-class customer experience keeping our customers at the heart of everything we do.
About the role
As a Senior Executive, Inpatient Claims, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of inpatient claims, from registration and assessment through to settlement, ensuring every claim is handled fairly, accurately and on time. You’ll be the key point of contact for policyholders, healthcare providers and insurers, so strong judgement and clear communication are just as important as technical claims knowledge. This role suits someone experienced in claims who enjoys investigating the details, works well under pressure, and cares about delivering a smooth experience for members during what is often a stressful time.
This role would be based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia and supports Singapore claims processing.

What you’ll do
- Handle the administrative functions in the Claims Department including claims registration, claims processing, sending of reminder letters and settlement letters upon claims approval.
- Handle customer service by communicating effectively and promptly with internal and external stakeholders not limited to policyholders/claimants/doctors/nurses/insurers on claims or related work matters, and ensure customer satisfaction in the services provided.
- Investigate, evaluate and settle claims in an efficient and timely manner, further investigating questionable claims to determine policy liability.
- Ensure claims are assessed according to Policy’s terms & benefits and are settled within the agreed turnaround time.
- Ensure that pending claims are followed up and managed on a timely basis.
- Ensure strict adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures.
- Participate in any ad-hoc project(s) or duties when required.
- At least 3 years of claims processing experience in Singapore with an insurer, third-party administrator (TPA) or healthcare provider, preferably handling inpatient claims.
- Good understanding of medical terminology, hospital bills and policy terms and benefits.
- Strong analytical skills and sound judgement in assessing claims and spotting irregularities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the confidence to handle difficult conversations professionally.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, plus the ability to manage a high caseload under pressure.
- A nursing or healthcare background.
- Familiarity with group or corporate health insurance and Integrated Shield Plans.
- A start-up attitude — you take full ownership of what you do, put the best tools (AI included) to work to move faster, and you're happy to step out of your comfort zone and take on new challenges.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and quick to learn — you experiment with AI to work smarter, not just harder, because we're not done growing, and heading into uncharted territory is part of the fun.
